National Geographic Kids Boredom Buster Prize Pack Giveaway
My husband and I love National Geographic because it’s fascinating and encourages exploration, and we just introduced our children to National Geographic Kids for the first time. This was actually my first experience with NG Kids, and I am very impressed with the books we were sent to review. National Geographic Kids Books has mastered the art of “edutainment” with books that are not only fun, but fascinating as well. This summer, NG Kids Books has three books for kids ages 4-8 that are sure to provide hours of fun learning — perfect for plane rides, road trips, those longer-than-normal dinners out, and rainy summer afternoons.
National Geographic Kids COOL ANIMALS STICKER ACTIVITY BOOK: Over 1000 easy-to-remove stickers is just one reason why kids will love these books that are chocked full of the fiercest, most powerful animals that kids can’t get enough of. Every page also includes games, spelling and pattern games, counting and wild animal facts about tigers, lizards, lions and sharks, polar bears bugs and many more fantastic creatures.
National Geographic Kids CUTEST ANIMALS STICKER ACTIVITY BOOK: Brimming with the cutest, fluffiest, most squeezable animals and featuring page upon page of stickers, lively text, animal facts and games this activity book will not only have kids saying “awww” but also “wow,” “cool,” and “awesome,” too! Trademark National Geographic photography and art capture koalas, pandas, rabbits, kittens, and puppies at their cuddliest — making this activity book a necessity for any summer survival kit!
National Geographic Little Kids FIRST BIG BOOK OF WHY: Using an interactive question-and-answer format and content grounded in a child’s immediate world, the Big Book of Why delivers lively information, hands-on games, simple recipes, crafts, and more. What makes a car go? How does mushy dough become a crispy cookie? What does the doctor see in my throat? The Big Book of Why invites children to ask big questions, think big thoughts, and get answers that are accurate, engaging, level-appropriate, and based on sound educational findings. Highly photographic and playful, this big book is an adventure in exploration and will make long car rides seem like a quick trip around the corner!
The activity books were a huge hit with my 4-year-old! My daughter had such a blast matching up the stickers to their coordinating shapes, and any book that asks her to draw or color is “her favorite”. With these books, she’s learning about animals while performing activities that are sharpening her mind. Oh, and there are penguins in there!
The First Big Book of Why is my personal favorite of the three. It answers so many of the questions that, as parents, we hear over and over again. My daughter can’t read yet, but she loves for us to read it to her. She’s captivated by the subject matter, and the eye-catching images make it even more fun for her. The next time your child asks you why the sky is blue, you need to bring out the First Big Book of Why!
These and other great books can be purchased online at the National Geographic Kids Store, along with games, toys, and more!
You could win a National Geographic Kids Boredom Buster Prize Pack, which includes the three books mentioned here! Enter via the Rafflecopter below. Giveaway ends 8/21 and is open to residents of the US who are 18 and over. Good luck!
The books featured in this post were provided free of charge for review. All opinions are my own.

I grew up reading National Geographic Magazines, and love that this company focuses so much on children learning about the world today, with items geared specifically for kids. I got the National Geographic Kids Awesome Animals book for my nephew (the “why” stage hasn’t come yet) and I love it, because it has so many beautiful pictures of animals in it, and my nephew marvels at them. I read the descriptions and factoids, we make animal noises and have a lot of fun.
