Fanny Foozle Review & Giveaway
Fanny Foozle comes from Framboozle, where the roosters “flock a foodle foo” and the ice cream is blue. She’s cute, she’s PINK, she has a Foodle dog named Sam, and she’s the star of her very own book. Foozle, Framboozle, Foodle, flumpleberry, fizzoodle, and fantuckle. There area a whole lot of “F” words happening in this story. My kids love it, and this mom approves.
This alliterative tale is aimed at preschoolers, so it’s perfect for both my son and daughter. In it, you follow the story of Fanny, the town of Framboozle, the Four Leaf Fantuckle, and how a Foodle dog almost turned a fabulous festival into a failure. I won’t give you too many details because I don’t want to spoil the story for you, but you’ll like it. You have the option of reading it on your own (I pick this when I want to read to the kids) or reading along with an energetic narrator (great for when the kids want to do it on their own). There were a few spelling errors/inconsistencies, but it wasn’t anything that my kids could pick up on. For them, it was a colorful and entertaining adventure that they wanted to experience again and again. As if the story were not enough fun on its own, they have kindly included a Fanny-themed memory game as well!
Fanny Foozle is fabulous, and I’ve read/heard her story about 400 times over the past week. My son says it’s his favorite book! Sure, he favorites a lot of things, but it’s still a sign that he liked it a whole lot. My daughter has replayed it many times also, but she’s even more fond of the memory game. She just loves matching up images that she recognizes from the story. My favorite part? The reference to Freehold, New Joozle. I can’t stop giggling.
You probably have to be familiar with NJ to truly appreciate the humor there, but trust me, you should giggle too. And I’m pretty sure she’s winking directly at me.
If you have a preschooler, I’m sure yours will be as delighted by this story as both of mine are. You can download the app FREE on Google Play and iTunes…and for slightly less than free on Amazon for the Kindle.
There is also a book version of the app, and we’re giving away THREE copies! Giveaway is open to US residents who are 18 and over. Ends 8/2/2013. Good luck!
